Barbara Jean Suggs Dantzler

Barbara Jean Suggs Dantzler, 72, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of Thomas M. Dantzler, died Saturday, February 17, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2018 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Dantzler-Hart Family Cemetery, Highway 15, Holly Hill, SC. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Northwoods Chapel.

Barbara Jean was born September 28, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late William R. Suggs and Irmalee Pritchard Suggs. She was a former manager of the Oaks Country Club in Goose Creek.

She is survived by her husband, Doc, of 24 years; three sons: Thomas M. Dantzler, II (Stacy), Harold Dantzler (Cathy), John Dantzler (Sandra); five grandchildren: Lauren Hadwin (Andrew), Thomas M. Dantzler, III, Jack Adams Dantzler, Daniel Holbrook Dantzler, Caroline Olivia Dantzler; great-grandchild, Bentley Joe Hadwin; two brothers, Roy Anthony Suggs (Linda), and William R. Suggs, Jr. (Fran); several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by three children: Raymond William Hinson, Laura Jean Zilker, and Tammy Lynn Hinson.
