Barbara Wilson Crumrine

Barbara Wilson Crumrine, 92, passed away peacefully at her daughter Vickie's home in Michigan on February 24, 2023. She formerly resided in The Brickyard in Mt. Pleasant.

Barbara was born April 1, 1930, in Cincinnati, OH, daughter of the late Barron Lewis Wilson, and the late Barbara Hruby Wilson. After graduating from Withrow High School, she studied at the University of Cincinnati.  After marrying John W. Crumrine on February 21, 1953, she withdrew from her studies due to her husband being deployed by the US Army to Fort Devin in Massachusetts. Barbara and Jack were married 62 years until his death in 2015.
She is survived by their three children: Victoria Hirsch (Jeffrey), John Crumrine (Marcia) and Barron Crumrine (Rhonda). There are eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.

Barbara was a devoted mother. Having 3 children within 5 years, she was enormously adept at raising a family with great care, love and humor. She was one of the warmest and loving of mothers. Always with a great sense of fun. When her children entered school, she became the school librarian. After they graduated, she became a residential home builder, joined later by her husband Jack after he moved on from his corporate career. She volunteered for the last 2 decades at an Alzheimer's respite group called "Time for You" at ALL SAINTS LUTHERAN CHURCH in MT. Pleasant.

Barbara was devoted in her Christian faith throughout her life. Her immense warmth and care for others were a reflection of her love for God.

A private graveside service will be held.
