Barbara Jean Armentrout, 88, of West Ashley, SC, wife of the late Robert B. Armentrout, entered into eternal rest Monday, August 19, 2024. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024. in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in the Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

Barbara was born August 23, 1935 in Horry County, SC, a daughter of the late Thurman D. Shelley and the late Edna Shelley. She was a longtime member of Pinecrest Baptist Church and serviced in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. Barbara was an avid gardener, and great bargain shopper.

She is survived by her son, Darrell Shayne Armentrout (Debbie), and Bob Armentrout, Jr. (Cindy); her grandchildren, April Armentrout, Tyler Armentrout (Kayla), Taylor Armentrout, and Samantha Armentrout; her great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Karleigh, Noah, and River.
