Barbara Adrian Woodbury Robinson, 93, of Mount Pleasant, SC, entered into eternal rest on July 31, 2026. Her Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel from 1:00 pm until time of the service.
Barbara was born on March 27, 1933, in Conway, SC, to the late Olga Woodbury Dudley and Laurence W. Woodbury. Growing up on Sullivan's Island, she attended Murray Vocational School. Later she furthered her education in the Medical Technology program at Duke University and took advanced training at the Medical College of South Carolina. She became the Chief Medical Technologist in the Medical College's Diagnostic Clinic, working for several years under Dr. Vince Moseley.
In 1962 Barbara married James William (Bill) Robinson, who preceded her in death on October 16, 2003. During their marriage Barbara and Bill resided in Columbia, South Carolina, and Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. After retirement Barbara enjoyed growing flowers and entertaining family and friends. She also enjoyed being a member of Sunrise Presbyterian Church on Sullivan's Island. All who knew her well will recall how much fun she was to be around. Her quick wit and infectious humor could make any event more fun.
Barbara Robinson is survived by her sons, Mark Adrian Robinson (Mica) and William Prentiss Robinson, both of Mount Pleasant; a grandson, Marco Robinson of Mount Pleasant; and a brother, William "Pug" Dudley (Ann) of Isle of Palms, SC. Four older siblings also preceded her in death: Eunice Woodbury Wear, Desdie Woodbury Kaylor, James L. Woodbury, and Lloyd "Tony" Woodbury. Barbara was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara expressed hope that she would be remembered with a smile rather than a tear, and that joy in the world would be promoted through random acts of kindness.
