Austin Scott Howard

Austin Scott Howard, 24, of James Island, SC entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 22, 2012. His funeral service will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012, in Grace Episcopal Church, 98 Wentworth Street, at 11:00 am. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, 232 Calhoun Street.

Austin was born December 18, 1988 in Charleston, SC, one of four children of Robert Lance Howard and Stephanie Anderson Howard. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, a graduate of James Island Charter High School and was attending Trident Technical College.

Austin is survived by his mother, Stephanie, of James Island; his father, Robert, of Knoxville, TN; his twin sister, Lindsay C. Howard and brothers, Robert Lake Howard (fiance, Brittany Crosby) and Taylor Brian Howard, all of James Island ; maternal grandparents, Jack H. and Melinda Scott Anderson of James Island; paternal grandmother, Claudette Howard and paternal great-grandmother, Ann Marbury, both of Atlanta, GA; uncles, Scott Anderson (Eduarda "Duda") of Mt. Pleasant, Reid Anderson of James Island and Kirk Howard of Charleston; aunts, Margaret A. Liedberg (Michael) of Athens, GA, Melinda A. Farah of James Island, Melody A. Hanna (Bruce) of Columbia, SC and Leslee Traurig (Ed) of Kiawah Island; and a large, loving extended family.
