Austin Cole, 87, of Hollywood, South Carolina, husband of Gloria Middleton Whipple Cole, entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 18, 2021. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021 in J. Henry Stuhr Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 2:00 p.m. Interment service will be held later Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie, Illinois. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Austin was born June 11, 1934, in Memphis, Tennessee, son of the late Austin Cole, Jr. and Lois Ann Roper Cole, Jr. He was a retired engineer.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Middleton Cole of Hollywood, SC, three daughters: Catherine Frances Nayner, Elizabeth Von Hoene Bulger and Tiffany Ingrham Cole; six grandchildren: Hannah Emily Coulthart, Anders Cole Johnson, Forrest Cole Von Hoene, Quinn Holden Von Hoene, Piper Rylan Von Hoene, and Rex Taylor Bulger and two great-grandchildren: Finley Coulthart and Lawrence Coulthart.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Sandra Kay Edmonds Cole.
