Aurora S. Greening, 88, of Charleston, SC, entered into eternal rest Friday, January 29, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, February 6, 2016, in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel, 232 Calhoun Street, at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends Saturday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel one hour prior to the service.

Aurora was born August 16, 1927 in Wheatland, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John Somatican and the late Rebecca Byers Somatican. She was a retired restaurateur.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynn L. Freedland and her husband, Dr. Philip Freedland of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a grandson; two great-grandchildren; one nephew and one niece. She was preceded in death by a son, Denny Daniel Greening.
