Augustus Matthew "Matt" Alderman

Augustus Matthew "Matt" Alderman, 74, of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, husband of Charlene Henderson Alderman entered into eternal rest Saturday, March 1, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 2:00 pm. Interment, Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in J. HENRY STUHR, INC. NORTHWOODS CHAPEL.

Matt was born September 7, 1939 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Theodore Alderman and Edith Pyle Alderman. He was a retired welder with Iron Workers Local 601 and a retired sheet metal worker with Sheet Metal Workers Local 399. He was a member of Life Givers Ministries, Moncks Corner and enjoyed fishing, shrimping, music and working at Charleston Auto Auction.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years of Moncks Corner, SC; children, Sonya Law and husband Justin of Goose Creek, SC, Brooke Fenters and husband Ryan of Moncks Corner, SC; Terrie Scott of North Carolina and Steven Gallagher and wife Keela of North Carolina; six precious grandchildren; and many beloved nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Augustus Matthew "Bubba" Alderman, Jr.
