Audrey Johnston Dobkin

Audrey Blanche Johnston Dobkin, age 77, wife of Sheldon Dobkin of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 after a long illness.
Audrey was born on February 18, 1934 in the Bronx, New York, daughter of the late Walter Johnston and Henrietta Wolfe Johnston. She worked as a legal secretary and as secretary in a state university in Florida. Audrey's greatest satisfaction during her time in Mount Pleasant was her volunteer work for Meals on Wheels.
Audrey is survived by her husband of 28 years, Sheldon Dobkin of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina; her five children, John Lounsbury of Bangkok, Thailand, Kathleen Emery of Marietta, Georgia, Richard Lounsbury of Stuart, Florida, Douglas Lounsbury of Marietta, Georgia and Christopher Lounsbury of Chang Mai, Thailand; two step-children, Joelle Doherty and Randall Dobkin, both of Boca Raton, Florida; eighteen grandchildren and one sister, Carole McCabe of the Bronx, New York.
The relatives and friends of Audrey Dobkin are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, South Carolina 29406.
