Arthur Pitt Milner

Arthur Pitt Milner, known to friends and family as "Grandaddy", 90, of North Charleston, SC, died Thursday, March 3, 2011, in a local hospital.

Born February 6, 1921 in St. Stephen, SC.  He was formerly employed with J. L. Goldberg as a service technician.  He attended Wando Woods Baptist Church for 32 years. 

Mr. Milner is survived by his wife of 32 years, Vonnell Browne Milner of North Charleston, SC; son, Arthur Milner, Jr. of Johns Island, SC; daughter, Barbara Hill of Bonneau Beach, SC; step-daughter, Dianne Browne Renn and her husband Ted of Biloxi, MS; step-sons:  Dwight Browne and his wife Jeannie of Hamilton, OH, Ken Browne and his wife Debbie of Blythewood, SC and Jerry Browne and his wife Rachel of Liberty, SC; two grandchildren, Roger Hill and his wife Susie and Angel Jackson of Bonneau Beach, SC; eight step-grandchildren: Denise Renn Walker, Alan Renn, Ernie Renn, Camille Browne Taylor, Lydia Browne Taylor, Lauren Browne, Leslie Browne and David Browne; one great-grandchild, Joseph Jackson of Clover, SC; and five step-great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his first wife, Angie Laura Milner; and his brother Varney D. Milner.

The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Saturday between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.  The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Saturday, March 5, 2011, at 11:30 a.m.  Interment will follow at 4:00 PM Saturday in St. Stephen Episcopal Churchyard.
