Arthur G. Keene, Jr., 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Marcia Musgrave Keene, entered into eternal rest Friday, November 29, 2013. His Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 2, 2013, in The Chapel at Bishop Gadsden, 1 Bishop Gadsden Way, at 2:00 p.m. Interment, Ivy Hill Cemetery, Upperville, VA on Thursday. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Arthur was born April 3, 1926, in Washington, District of Columbia, son of Arthur G. Keene and Nellie Walter Keene. He was a Chief Master Sergeant of the US Army and also served in WWII and the Korean War. He was an accomplished military historian and a member of Grace Episcopal Church.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia Keene of Charleston, SC; son, Stephen S Keene and wife, Starling, of Brooklyn, NY; and two grandchildren, Flora and Minnie Keene. He was predeceased by his sister, Juanita Keene Summers; and his first wife, Katharina Keene.
