Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of December 6, 2010, Arthur Walter Dietze, Jr., widower of Shirley Faye Ensley Dietze. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Thursday, December 9, 2010 at Charlestowne Methodist Church at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL this Wednesday afternoon from 5 until 7 p.m.
Mr. Dietze was born November 14, 1938 in Charleston, SC to the late Arthur Walter Dietze, Sr. and Marie Baggett Dietze. He was a veteran in the United States Air Force and was a retired Clerk from the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Dietze was a member of Charlestowne Methodist Church and was also a member of the Elks Lodge #242 B.P.O.
He is survived by two sons, David Dietze of Summerville and Artie Dietze of Poinciana, FL; a daughter, Karen D. LaMar of Charleston; eight grandchildren, Jessica Dietze, Addison Dietze, Brittany LaMar, Brooke LaMar, Ashley Dietze, Olivia Dietze, Abigail Dietze, Devon Dietze; and three nieces, Cathy Delpit, Dawna Medders and Margaret Eaton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society for Pancreatic Cancer Research, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or Charlestowne Methodist Church, 1405 Miles Drive, Charleston, SC 29407.
