Arthur Whaley Bailey, Jr., 85, of Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Myrtle Rubelle Howard Bailey entered into eternal rest Saturday, June 21, 2014. His Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 27, 2014 at 11:00 am in Old St. Andrews Parish Church, 2604 Ashley River Road followed by a reception in the parish hall. Burial services will be Private on Edisto Island. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.

Arthur was born July 15, 1928 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Arthur Whaley Bailey, Sr. and Adelaide Rush Bailey. He was retired from Southern Bell, a member of Old St. Andrews Parish Church and a Navy Veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Myrtle Rubelle Howard Bailey of Charleston, SC; son: Arthur Whaley Bailey, III (Kathryn) of Edisto Island, SC; daughter: Lucy Frances Bailey Barnette (David) of Goose Creek, SC; two grandchildren: Mikell Jeremy Bailey (Leonari), Emily Ruth Barnette; and two great-grandchildren: Ashley & Ansley Bailey.
