Arnolda DuBose Roode

March 24, 1923 — May 8, 2016

Arnolda DuBose Roode, 93, of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Charleston, widow of Charles Emory Roode died Sunday, May 8, 2016. Her funeral service will be held Monday, May 16, 2016 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel at 1:00 p.m. Interment, Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday in Stuhr's Downtown Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Arnolda was born March 24, 1923 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Louis DuBose Quin and Olga Jatho Quin. She was a graduate of Ashley Hall and a member of Chi Omega. Arnolda was a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and was formerly associated with the Huguenot Society.

Arnolda is survived by two sons: Alan Roode (Fe) of Bogart, GA and Glen Roode (Theresa) of Soldier Pond, MA; brother, Louis Quin (Mary) of Durham, NC; step-brother, Paul Heible of PA; and granddaughter, Hannah Roode of Bogart, GA. She was preceded in death by sons, Charles Roode, Jr., and Wayne Roode.
