Arlene Mae Guthrie Visconti, 84, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of the late Albert Carl Visconti, went to be with Jesus, her Lord and Savior on Saturday, January 21, 2023. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, January 29, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road, at 3:00 pm. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel immediately following the service.
Arlene was born August 4, 1938, in Dayton, Ohio, daughter of the late Thomas Kenneth Guthrie and Mary Williams Guthrie. She was raised in Cincinnati, where she met the love of her life, Albert Visconti. They were happily married for 44 years. She was an avid traveler with a special love for Italy. She enjoyed singing in her church choir and once performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra. She touched lives as a volunteer in the Women’s Prison Ministry. She also had a passion for fashion, especially for hats, and enjoyed modeling.
She is survived by four children, Shelley McDaniels (Bill) of Hayesville , NC; Tammy Boron (David) of Beaufort, SC, Gina Foster of Charleston, SC, Tony Visconti (Chrystal) of Charleston, SC. Forever cherished and remembered by her 8 grandchildren, Nicole Weber, Brenna Whatley, Caitlin McDaniels, Nicolas Boron, Austin Foster, Lauren Foster, Megan Foster, and Anthony Visconti and great-granddaughter, Emerson Whatley. Arlene is also survived by her brother Kent Guthrie and sister Suzanne Guthrie and their children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Mary Guthrie.
