Arlene Goodson Davis

Arlene Goodson Davis, 88, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of William "Johnny" F. Davis entered into eternal rest Wednesday, November 22, 2017. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 26, 2017 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Her funeral service will be held at the graveside Monday, November 27, 2017 in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, 1308 Mathis Ferry Road at 11:00 a.m.

Arlene was born December 30, 1928 in Newport News, Virginia, daughter of the late Clifford Odell Goodson and Elizabeth Barker Goodson. She was a retired Secretary with the U.S. Army Transportation School, Fort Eustis, VA.

She is survived by her, daughter, Cecilia Davis Smith of Charleston, SC; son, John Wesley Davis of Goose Creek, SC; brother, Carlyle Goodson of Glen Allen,VA; sister, Myra Jessen of Severn, VA; eleven grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coastal Light Baptist Church, 2543 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414.
