April C. Whaley

April C. Whaley,46, of Summerville, South Carolina, wife of Roy Eugene Whaley, III entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.  Her  Memorial service will be held on  Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Miles Road Baptist Church, 816 Miles Road at 11:00 am.  The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.  Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.

April was born April 4, 1976 in Perry, Florida, daughter of Jesse Franklin Dorsey, III (Angela) and Jeanne Hitson Phillips (Darrell).  April loved softball, gardening, and caring for her family. April attended Charleston Southern University but loved her Florida Gators. She was a member of Miles Road Baptist Church where she taught K-4.

She is survived by her husband of 24 years Roy Eugene Whaley, III of Summerville, SC; parents: Jesse (Angela) and Jeanne (Darrell); two daughters: Rebecca Lynn Whaley and Sarah Elizabeth Whaley; two siblings: Jesse Franklin Dorsey, IV and  Amanda Leigh Weaver (Dustin); and many loved Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

She was predeceased by her grandparents: Joan Grace McCormick and William Lee McCormick; and Louise Buchanan and Ray Buchanan.
