Annie "Lollie" Laurie Quarterman, 94, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Thursday, June 28, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at the graveside in Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.
Lollie was born October 24, 1923 in Charleston, SC, daughter of the late Charles Homer Quarterman, Sr., and Ella Mauk Quarterman. She was formerly employed with WCSC- Radioand TV and retired as a bookkeeper with George C. Birlant and Company. Lollie was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school. She loved sports including the Atlanta Braves Baseball and Duke Basketball and was a Green Bay Packers fan. She also enjoyed playing bridge.
She is survived by her niece, The Reverend Jean Quarterman McGraw (The Reverend Stan McGraw) of Charleston, SC; two great-nephews, Scott McGraw (Wendy) of Virginia Beach, VA, Chris McGraw (L.J.) of Atlanta, GA; great-niece, Dana McGraw (Danielle) of Los Angeles, CA; several great-great-nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Charles Homer Quarterman, Jr., Lee Sinclair Quarterman, and a sister, Evelyn Igoe.
