Annie Ruth Brooks Noland, age 89, of Charleston, SC passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert (Robbie) C. Noland, Jr. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Martha and Ken Minor, Brenda Glidewell, Cathy and Benny Gresham, Vicki and Paul Cato, Carol Brooks and Eddie Brooks; 14 great-nieces and nephews; and 10 great-great nieces and nephews.

She has been a very dedicated member and given 62 years of service to The Citadel Square Baptist Church. She has always been active in Whipple Barony community and served on the North Charleston Recreation Board for many years. She was very proud of Charleston's beautiful parks and all of the city's history. She has been a resident of Charleston since 1940 when she left Cedartown, Georgia to move to Charleston. She went to work at the Navy Yard where she met her husband.

The family will receive guests on Sunday, February 12 from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm at J. HENRY STUHR, NORTH AREA CHAPEL, 2119 Dorchester Road, North Charleston. The funeral service will immediately follow visitation.
