Ann was born September 29, 1921 in Union, SC, the daughter of Samuel Jackson Harris and Stella Bella Palmer Harris. As the wife of a Central Intelligence Agency employee, Ann and her husband Edward lived in the Far East. While living in Okinawa, Japan Ann taught English to the children at the local Japanese Okinawa schools. While living in Washington, DC, Ann was an active member of The Mount Vernon Methodist Church. When she moved to Charleston she became a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Pam Schofield and her husband, Peter D. Schofield, Sr., of Madison, AL; three grandchildren; Tammy Petersen, and her husband Jeff of St. Louis, MO, Peter D. Schofield, Jr. and his wife, Desiree, of Madison, AL, and Scott E. Schofield, and his wife Elizabeth of Madison, AL., four great grandchildren, Jacob Sato, Alex Sato, Collin Schofield, and Jeremiah Schofield, all of Madison, AL; two sisters, Ruth Corn and her husband, James, of Winston Salem, NC, and Easter Walton, of Charleston, SC and a brother, Sam Harris of Union, SC. There is an extended, loving family that will miss Ann. Ann is predeceased by her infant great grandson, Adam Schofield.
