Annie Clemmons LaFlamme, 84, of Summerville, SC died Tuesday, March 29, 2011, in a local hospital.

Born May 5, 1926 in Bryan County, GA she was one of four children of R. Willie Smith and Zellie Shuman Smith.  Mrs. LaFlamme was a cosmetician and retired from Eckerd Drug Store.  She was a member of Ladson Baptist Church. 

Mrs. LaFlamme is survived by her sisters, Melrose Mock of Sylvania, GA, Mary Whetsell of North Charleston, SC; sons:  Bill Clemmons (Pat) of Columbia, SC, Michael Clemmons (Kathy) of Guyton, GA and Raymond Clemmons (Lisa) of Summerville, SC; daughters:  Pat Clemmons Austin (Charles) of Summerville, SC, Debbie (DeDe) Clemmons Carter (Ed) of Summerville, SC, Sharon Clemmons Thomas (Bill) of Alvin, SC; step-daughters:  Diane Casavieja of Easley, SC, Barbara (B.J.) Haning of The Villages, FL, Debbie LaFlamme of Charlotte, NC and Susan LaFlamme of Canton, GA; 22 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, James W. Clemmons and second husband, Oliver C. LaFlamme; parents; and brother, Grady Smith of Guyton, GA.

The funeral service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL, 2180 Greenridge Road, Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11:00 AM.  Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel Thursday between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
