Annie Jo Stokes McCartha

May 12, 1917 — April 19, 2013

Annie Jo Stokes McCartha, 95, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, formerly of Beaufort, SC, widow of Ray Ellie McCartha, USMC (Ret.) entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 18, 2013. Her graveside services will be held Monday, April 22, 2013 in Beaufort National Cemetery, 1601 Boundary Street, at 12:00 noon. The family will receive friends Sunday at 1801 Atlantic Avenue, Sullivans Island between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL.

Annie Jo was born May 12, 1917 in Brantley, Alabama, daughter of John William Stokes and Mattie Cowart Stokes. She was a member of The Baptist Church of Beaufort.

She is survived by her daughter, Raye Ann (Granger) Osborne of Sullivans Island, SC; five grandchildren, Anne Tibbals (Jeff), Chris Osborne (Libba), Kate Adams (Franklin), Callie Osborne, Brian Manbeck and six great grandchildren.

The family wishes to thank Shirley Jenkins and Louise Smalls for their special care and kindness.
