Annie Mae Ganis, 93, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Woodrow Ganis, entered into eternal rest Thursday, April 25, 2013. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013 in the Carolina Memorial Park, 7113 Rivers Avenue at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Annie Mae was born in Orangeburg County, SC, daughter of the late James Sumter Fogle and Lula Reed Fogle. She was a retired seamstress from the Manhattan Shirt Factory and the Levi Factory.
She is survived by two daughters, Emily Brown (Sammy), and Carolyn Ganis, both of Charleston, SC; two sons, Edward Ganis (Linda) of North Charleston, SC, and Roger Ganis (Mary) of Charleston, SC; a brother, John B. Fogle (Shirley) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Sherry G. White (Rick), Edward Woodrow Ganis, Jr.,(Jamie), Debbie S. Foster (Todd), Maria Ganis, and Robert Ganis; six great-grandchildren, Addie White, Daniel White, Matthew Ganis, Sydney Ganis, Jared Shelley and Cassie Foster. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Annette Simpson, four brothers, and five sisters.
