Annettte Lighthart Snyder, 82, peacefully passed into God's grace on February 23, 2022, surrounded by her loving children.
Annette was born in Charleston, SC on June 28, 1939. She graduated from Bishop England High School in 1957.
Annette fell in love with William H. Snyder, Jr. and the two were married on December 30, 1961.
Annette loved and lived for her family and her children with Bill at her side. The Snyder household was always welcoming, loving and compassionate and the love that Annette and Bill shared with one another was a shining light to all that came to know the Snyder family.
Although widowed for the past 20 years, Annette's love of family continued to radiate on her grandchildren, her daughters, her son and their families. Known for her immaculate home and delicious cooking, she was happiest surrounded with family and friends at her home on Folly Beach or supporting her Citadel Bulldogs on game day at Johnson Hagood Stadium.
Annette is predeceased by her husband, William H. Snyder, Jr. and her parents Robert O. Lighthart and Minnie P. Lighthart.
She is the mother of Sheryl S. Matthews of Charleston, Lynn S. DeStefano (John) of Charleston and William H. Snyder, III (Gina) of Charleston.
She is the proud grandmother (Nene) to Lynsdey Destefano, John DeStefano, Hunter Matthews, Hope Matthews, Anna-Leigh Snyder, Grace Snyder and Huston Snyder, all of Charleston.
She is the cherished sister to Robert O. Lighthart and Barbara Rowland of Charleston and David Lighthart of Columbia. She was her siblings' best friend, their champion and their biggest supporter. Her love will never be forgotten.
Arrangements to be private at the request of the family due to ongoing community health concerns.
