Annette Strickland Jones, 85, wife of Roland Sutton Jones of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011.

The relatives and friends of Annette Jones are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Saturday, October 8, 2011 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 604 Pitt Street, Mt. Pleasant, SC at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.  Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 7, 2011 in the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Annette was born on April 4, 1926 in Horry County, South Carolina, daughter of the late Moses G. Strickland and Rosa Gerrald Strickland. She graduated from Limestone College and was a public school teacher at Whiteside Elementary School for 23 years in Charleston County.  She was also a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

 She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roland S. Jones of Mt. Pleasant, SC; children, Tamara Jones Whitlock (Rusty) of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Kathryn Jones Courtwright (Vernon) of Checotah, OK, Roland S. Jones, Jr. (Anh) of Raleigh, NC, Alan D. Jones (Jayne) of Lawrenceville, GA and Alyssa Jones Watson (Michael) of Lexington, SC; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
