Annette W. Huxford

Annette W. Huxford, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Harry Russell Huxford, Sr., entered into eternal rest Monday evening, December 12, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday in Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Annette was born December 16, 1936 in Charleston, South Carolina, the youngest of two daughters of the late Sylvester Ward and the late Dorothy Proudfoot Ward. She was raised on James Island and used to ride a horse to school when she was young. She met her husband at Murray Vocational School and they were married in 1955. Annette was active in the United Methodist Church and was dedicated to her family.

She is survived by her two sons, Harry Russell Huxford, Jr. (Betty), of N. Augusta, SC and Arthur Curt Huxford of Charleston, SC; two granddaughters, Rachel H. Phillips and Lauren E. Huxford; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Phillips; and her sister, Evelyn Larson of Beaufort, SC. Annette was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Russell, and two young daughters, Debbie and Miriam.
