Annetta M. Ohlendorf, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, 78, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2018, surrounded by her family. She was born May 5, 1939, in Atlanta, Georgia.
"Mrs. O" was a graduate of Erskine College, was a teacher for 35 years at Venice High School, Venice, Illinois, an avid college basketball fan, all things ACC sports, and a converted St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Surviving are her daughters, Joanne Ohlendorf Langdale and Janice Ohlendorf Darby (Perry); daughter-in-law, Debra K. Ohlendorf; four grandchildren, Alexandria L. Sirles (Michael), Reid Langdale, Jenna K. Ohlendorf and Ashlyn K. Ohlendorf; two great grandchildren, Aiden H. Sirles, Noah R. Sirles; a brother, H.Z. McConnell (Eleanor). Preceding her in death are her husband, William F. Ohlendorf, III, and son, William F. Ohlendorf, IV.
A memorial service will be held at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the Mount Pleasant Chapel from 10:00 am until time of the service.
