Anne Beckman Rumer, 83, of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of William Harry Rumer died Friday, February 23, 2018. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 25 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road. Her graveside service will be held on Monday, February 26 at 11:00 AM in New Wappetaw Presbyterian Cemetery, McClellanville, SC.

Anne was born December 8, 1934 in Columbia, South Carolina, daughter of the late William Peter Beckman and the late Ruth Folk Beckman. She was a graduate of Queens College, a Jr. High School teacher, a Charleston Tour Guide and a member of Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by her husband; a son, Arthur M. Martin, III of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a daughter, Mary Ruth Bird (Rick) of Westland, MI; and three grandchildren: Ryan (Rachel) Bird, Erik Bird and Melissa Bird.
