Anne Claire Reaves Commins, wife of the late Ernest Lawrence "Lonnie" Commins of Meggett, SC passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Hospice of Charleston at the age of 85. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Wednesday July 13, 2016 in St. Paul's Episcopal Cemetery, 4931Chapel Road, Hollywood, SC at 10:30 a.m. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening in Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in Hollywood, SC from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Anne was born December 16, 1930 to David Reaves and Lavonia Smoak Reaves in Charleston, SC. She was a graduate of St. Paul's High School and was a postal clerk for both Meggett and Yonges Island Post Offices, as well as a bookkeeper for Stevens Towing. She was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and helped with Meals on Wheels for many years. Anne deeply loved her family and helping others through her active participation in the church.
She is survived by three children, Ernest L. "Larry" Commins, Jr., (Debbie), Wendy Anne Commins, and Gail Francis Moore (Victor) and three grandchildren, Jason Ricker, Krystle Isaacs, and Haley Elise Commins. In addition to her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her sister, Ruby Francis Reaves Chapman, and her brother David Clyde Reaves, Jr.
