Anne Caroline Brewer, 96, of Moncks Corner, SC, widow of Wilburn Brewer, Sr., entered into eternal rest Monday, May 19, 2014. Her funeral service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 in J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Chaplin Cemetery, Johns Island. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in Stuhr's Northwoods Chapel.

Anne was born January 8, 1918 in Coosawhatchie, SC, one of seven children of the late Arthur DeLancy Chaplin and the late Maybelle Chaplin. Anne graduated from Ridgeland High School and business school in Savannah, GA. She worked at American Tobacco and later retired as a ward secretary at MUSC.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Ann Olwig and her husband Donald Olwig of Moncks Corner, SC and Jane Caroline Hart and her husband Roy Hart Jr. of Hollywood, MD; grandchildren: Cameron Barkley, Steven Brewer, Lisa P. Barrios, Roy Hart III, Pamela Renee' Johnson, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Wilburn Brewer, Jr., her siblings: Beatrice Buchner, Cammie Chaplin, Inez Sweatman, Lucille Chaplin, Nettie Holladay and Arthur D. Chaplin; and one grandchild, Caroline Brewer.
