Annabelle Rumph Jenkins, 104, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, widow of Kinsey J. H. Jenkins and Richard A. Goehring, Sr., entered into eternal rest Wednesday, February 3, 2021. Her funeral service will be held graveside Sunday, February 7, 2021 in Rumph Family Cemetery, at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Annabelle was born July 19, 1916 in Saint George, South Carolina, daughter of the late James Barney Rumph and Daisy Cannady Rumph. She worked for John Arthur Siegling as a nurse practitioner for 41 years where she never missed a single day of work. She was a former Miss Summerville. Annabelle was a member of St. Barnabus Lutheran Church, the SC Genealogical Society, the German-Swiss Genealogical Society, the Ladies Benevolent Society, the Preservation Society of Charleston and the National Trust for Historic Preservation. She was a member of the Franke Home Auxiliary, the Ladies Fuel Society, the DAR and former board member of the Florence Crittenton Home.
Annabelle is survived by her son, Richard A Goehring, Jr. (Mandy) of Charleston, SC; three step-children: Kinsey Jenkins, Jr. (Doreen), Cynthia Walton (Ron) and Randolph Jenkins; five grandchildren: Amy Gurley (David), Allison Goehring, R. Allen Goehring III (Dee), Lauren Calhoun Pickney and Melissa Wingard (David); and 12 great-grandchildren.
