Anna Lyle Viser Turnage, 83, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Friday, February 2, 2024. Her memorial service will be held Monday, March 4, 2024 in the Rodenberg Chapel - Franke At Seaside, 1885 Rifle Range Rd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.
Lyle was born January 2, 1941, in Raleigh, North Carolina. She was daughter of the late James Harvey Viser, Jr. and the late Annie Lyle Miller Viser. After completing her bachelor's degree at Lindenwood College, she graduated with her master's degree from Troy State, and after her career as a military wife and stay-at-home mom, she started a private practice serving families as a psychologist and counselor. She loved Jesus and made sure her children did (and do) too. She was a fantastic cook, a great friend, a wonderful bridge player, and always had a keen eye for picking out the best family dogs. She enjoyed life, laughter, and junk food, and was known for her fierce love for her children and especially her seven “perfect” grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, John Turnage (De) of Meridian ID; her two daughters, Annalyle (Chris) Andrews of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Emilie McCombs (Will) of Mount Pleasant, SC; her seven grandchildren: Adelaide, Jack, Isaac, Bennett, Dunn, Calvin, and Annie; and a brother, Jim Viser (Beth) of Norfolk, VA. She was preceded in death by her son, Taylor Turnage, and her sister, Jan Viser.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to WakeUp Carolina, Creighton's House, 217 Lucas St., Suite G, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
