Anna Maria Rowan

Anna Maria Rowan, 76, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, wife of William Rowan entered into eternal rest Wednesday, August 16, 2023. Her service will be held Monday, August 28, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 1:00 pm.  Inurnment will be held Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens at 10:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Mount Pleasant Chapel.

Anna was born February 26, 1947, in Glasgow, Scotland, daughter of the late Francis Henry and the late Annie Clark Lee Henry.  After graduating from the University of Strathclyde she traveled to Africa for volunteer service. Anna then had a fulfilling career in research and development as a food scientist. She will be remembered for enjoying gardening, and the way she loved her family.

She is survived by her husband of almost 48 years, William Rowan of Mt. Pleasant; son, James Rowan of Kansas City, KS; and two grandchildren, Alma, and Wilder.
