Anna Lee Grant Myers, 91, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Dr. William "Bill" Albert Myers III entered into eternal rest Monday, February 22, 2021. The family will receive friends Friday, February 26, 2021 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A private funeral service will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021 in Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1157 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. where the service will be live streamed at 11:00 a.m. and may be viewed by visiting www.wpccharleston.org/westminster-worships/. Burial will be held later in Belin Cemetery, Murrells Inlet, SC.
Anna Lee was born January 25, 1930 in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, daughter of the late John F. Grant and Thelma Lee Grant. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and pursued graduate studies at The Citadel, USC and Indiana University. Anna Lee was a retired math teacher from Bishop England High School and a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Bill; two daughters: Joyce M. Hatley (Thomas) of James Island, SC and Ann Myers Smoak (William) of Johns Island; sister, Helen Grant Rourk of Myrtle Beach, SC; four grandchildren: Thomas Rae Hatley, Jr., William Tyler Smoak (Peyton Dean, fiancée), Kelsey Hatley Hayden (Joe) and Taylor Lee Smoak; and one great-grandchild, Evelyn Grace Hayden.
She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Anna Lee was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Grant Eaddy; and brother, Edward F. Grant.
The family would also like to thank Anna Lee's wonderful caregivers, Homestead Hospice, especially Lisa, Shawna, and Trinvella for helping us through this journey.
