Anna Elizabeth Freundl

Anna Elizabeth Harris Freundl, daughter of John F. and Teresa Harris, was born October 16, 1927 in Oxford, Florida and died September 30, 2011 in Charleston, South Carolina.  She was 83. Ann grew up in Wildwood, Florida, and met her husband, Jack Freundl in Orlando, Florida on V-J day, August 14, in 1946. They married a year later in Mankato, Minnesota making their home in Collegeville, Minnesota, where Jack attended college, graduating from St. John's University.  They moved to Osceola, Iowa in 1951 and founded an accounting firm, Freundl Company. Ann managed Freundl Company, and was actively involved in the community�she was on the altar society of St. Bernard's Catholic Church, was a Girl Scout leader, was actively involved in her children's schools, athletics, and music and arts activities. She enjoyed playing golf and dancing at the Osceola Country Club.  She was an avid bridge player and loved to entertain. Ann and Jack retired to Indian Harbour Beach, Florida in 1996, where she continued to be supportive of her church and community. She belonged to Newcomers Club, a gourmet club, and various bridge clubs. Funeral services will be 1pm Friday, October 7 at Holy Name of Jesus in Indialantic, Florida. She is survived by husband, Jack Freundl of Indian Harbour Beach, Florida; daughters Dr. Pamela Kirst of Los Angeles, California, Debi Chard Lockwood of Charleston, South Carolina, and Shelli King of San Rafael, California; grandchildren Sarah Chard Pelot, Jason Chard, Anna Chard, Alison King, Kevin King, Stephen Kirst, and great grandchildren Strider and Caleb Pelot, other relatives, and good friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N. Highway A1A, Indialantic, Florida 32903; St. Bernard Catholic Church, 222 East Pearl Street, Osceola, Iowa 50213; or Debi's Kids, a 501c3  non-profit, 2126 Charlie Hall Blvd, Charleston, South Carolina 29414.
