Anna Lou Dove

Anna Lou Dove, 85, of Hanahan, SC, died Monday, August 13, 2018. Her funeral service will be held Friday, August 17, 2018 in the J. Henry Stuhr, Northwoods Chapel, 2180 Greenridge Road at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Anna was born May 21, 1933 in Chester, SC, daughter of the late Henry Bratton Mayben and the late Anna Bagley Mayben. She was a civil service computer operator. Anna loved reading, crocheting and gardening especially taking care of her roses. She was a wonderful caretaker, whether it was her children, grandchildren or anyone that needed her help.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest H. Dove of Hanahan, SC; daughter, Jane Cook (Mark) of Summerville, SC; three sons: Wesley Dove of Cottageville, SC, Stanley Dove (Margaret) of Cross, SC, Sammy Dove (Kim) of Summerville, SC; five grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Mayben of Chester, SC; She was preceded in death by her son, Harold Douglas Dove and granddaughter, Alicia May Dean, four sisters and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in her name to Alzheimer's Association SC Chapter, 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130, Charleston, SC, 29407 and/or National Kidney Foundation, 508 Hampton Street, SU 200, Columbia, SC, 29201 .
