Ann Needle, 87, of Charleston, South Carolina, widow of Dr. Harry Rephan Needle entered into eternal rest Saturday, November 14, 2015. Her Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2015 in Emanu-El Cemetery, Sycamore Avenue, Maryville at 11:00 a.m. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Downtown Chapel.
Ann was born January 4, 1928 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of the late Alec Sherman and Raye Bluestein Sherman. She was a member of Synagogue Emanu-El and Sisterhood and Council of Jewish Women and was the former President of Hadassah.
She is survived by her four daughters, Carla N. Seitz (Ron) of Charleston, SC, Sally N. Hawes of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Julie N. Oxley (Mark) of Chevy Chase, MD, and Susan N. Brickman (Jeff) of Dunwoody, GA; one sister, Harriett Sherman Lewis of Atlanta, GA; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Sokol Needle of Charleston, SC; and four grandchildren, Jake Oxley, Rachel Hawes, Joseph Brickman, and Matt Oxley. The family wishes to express their love and gratitude to two devoted caregivers, Hope Wigfall and Sally Conyers.
