Entered into eternal rest on the morning of August 7, 2010, Ann Robertson Legare, widow of Thomas Seabrook Legare, Sr. Residence, Johns Island, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services Monday, August 9, 2010 at eleven o'clock in Johns Island Presbyterian Church. Interment will be in the Churchyard. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL, Sunday, August 8, 2010 from five until seven o'clock.
Ann was born on April 4, 1934 in Statham, GA, the daughter of Roger W. Robertson and Ernestine Rowden Robertson. She was a retired bookkeeper and owner of Legare Farms. She was on the Founding Committee of Sea Island Academy and was the first secretary at School District #9, St. Johns District. She worked many years at St. Johns High School and Sea Island Academy. Ann was the past secretary at the Harmon Club and a member of Johns Island Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by one son: Thomas S. Legare, Jr., of Johns Island, SC; two daughters: Linda Legare Berry and her husband Edward and Helen Legare Floyd and her husband Rick, all of Johns Island, SC; granddaughter, Sarah Berry; brother: Marion W. Robertson and his wife Sharon, of Johns Island, SC; sister-in-law: Mary L. Hawkins of Columbia, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 2090 Executive Hall Road, Suite 130, Charleston, SC 29407.
