Ann Marie Holling Griffin

Ann Marie Holling Griffin, 79, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, April 5, 2023. Her memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends an hour before the service. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens.

Ann was born March 9, 1944, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Archibald Baker Holling and the late Annie Lou Hart Holling. She was a graduate from St. Andrews High School. She began her career at Roper College of Nursing before working as an administrative assistant for the Naval Criminal Investigative Service at the Charleston Naval Station and later retired from the Department of Veterans Affairs. She was a SC constable. Ann absolutely loved horses, horseback riding and horseback riding competitions and was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church. She will be remembered for the way she loved her family.

She is survived by her two children, Charles Griffin (Maureen) and Robin Richardson all of Mount Pleasant, SC; and grandchild, Chandler Richardson. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 60 years, George E. Griffin, as well as her two brothers, Archibald "Tunkie" Holling II, and Robert Holling.
