Ann Murray Amos, 75, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of William Warren Amos entered into eternal rest Friday, January 29, 2021. Her Funeral Service will be held in Live Oak Memorial Gardens Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway.
Ann was born September 23, 1945 in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Henry Edward Murray and Florrine Maxwell Murray. She was a graduate of James Island High School in 1963, and Newberry College in 1967. She retired from the Department of Social Services as a program manager and was a member of Martin Luther Church.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, William Amos of Charleston; two sisters; Susan Murray Petterson (Daniel) of Charleston, Elizabeth Masiongale (Bruce) of Charleston. As well as several nieces and nephews; Gerald Duke, Laurie Huntley, Mac Allen, Hannah Carter, Michael Carter, Jacob Carter, Alex Duke, and Sydney Duke.
Her dedication to helping others was contagious, she leaves behind family and friends that treasure and embrace every moment spent with her. Ann was like a mother to many, and a friend to all.
