Anita Green Hooper, 80, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, wife of James L. Hooper entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 1, 2024. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel.
Anita was born November 30, 1943 in East Chicago, Indiana, daughter of the late Louis E. Green and the late Mary Arnold Green. She attended Harding University, AR and loved camping and going to every National Park in the country. Anita loved her dogs, sewing and holidays. She took great pride and joy in attending her kids and grandkids games and concerts, never missing a one. Anita was a also member of the Summerville Church of Christ.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, she is survived by daughters, Christy McKenzie (Chris) of Naperville, IL, Carrie Drumheller (Scott) of Geneva, IL, Cathy Miller (Tim) of West Chicago, IL and Cheri Ristau (Paul) of Wadmalaw Island, SC; ten grandchildren, Abi and Ryan McKenzie, Alex and Kelsey Drumheller, Noah, Bekah, Mary and Lydia Miller, and Finley and Piper Ristau; siblings, Sandra Barron (John) of KY and Betty Gould (Alan) of AR; and her beloved dog, Ginger.
