Andrew J. Parrish

Andrew "Sarge" J. Parrish, 93, of Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, husband of the late Mary Elizabeth Singleton Parrish died Wednesday, August 12, 2015. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, August 16, 2015 in the First United Methodist Church, Isle of Palms, 12 21st Ave., at 3:00 p.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC. MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL.

Andrew was born June 9, 1922 in Greensboro, Alabama, son of the late Hill Parrish and the late Odell Ryan Parrish. He retired as a Master Sergeant E-9 from the U.S. Army after 23 years of service. Andrew was the Superintendent of Public Works at the City of Isle of Palms for 28 years. He was an active church member at First United Methodist Church, Isle of Palms and he served as a volunteer on the Isle of Palms Fire Department.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela P. Moore (Tory) of Charlotte, NC; and grandson, Parrish Trent Moore of Charlotte, NC and his siblings.

In addition to his wife, Mary, he was predeceased by his son, Andrew J. Parrish, Jr.
