Andrew Francis "Andy" Anastasi

November 2, 1962 — July 18, 2020

The world has lost one of the kindest souls. Andy Anastasi was genuine, peaceful, thoughtful, and fun loving. He always gave strong hugs and had a smile on his face. Andy loved music; with his beautiful tenor voice he was always ready to sing…and sing along with you. He was a fantastic listener and always had an opinion. Andy was the best husband to his beloved Haynes Wheeler. They began their sweet, joyful relationship in New York City and Milford, PA, then moved to Charleston, SC where they have treasured their time entertaining family and friends. Andy was the most wonderful and loving son, third child to Nancy and Joe Anastasi (Deceased) and son-in-law to Mary Ann Sebrell.

He was a steady rock and positive force to his entire family: sister Christy Sims, husband Chris, and their four daughters and families – Brittany, Kevin & John Bailey, Caitlin & Owen Sims, Courtney, Kevin, Brody, Cameron & Griffin Mackay, and Tori Sims, brother Steve Anastasi, his wife Terry and their children – Kristen & Ian Cully, Colleen & Adam Kempa, and Joseph Anastasi, and youngest brother, Danny Anastasi, his wife Cindy and children Jack and Lauren. Andy's personality was as large as his family. He was a tremendous influence and confidant to many. He was a graduate of Good Counsel High School and the University of Richmond. He had a successful career with ConferenceDirect. He had remarkable friends. Everyone just wanted to be around Andy. We will all miss him dearly.

Andy joined Hilton Hotels Corporation in 1989 as a Sales Executive and worked in both Washington DC at the Capital Hilton, Hilton National Sales and in their New York Headquarters. In 1998 for one year Andy worked for AT&T. He then joined ConferenceDirect as Vice President of the New York Region in 1999 after the company was only one year in business. Andy became one of the top associates of the company and part owner of the firm. He was elevated to Senior Vice President and a team leader. "I've known Andy since 1972 and treasured our friendship through the decades as we both grew personally and professionally. He's always been a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew him. Like so many others, I will miss him deeply," Said Brian Stevens, CEO of ConferenceDirect.

We know you are in heaven Andy with your father, Joe, right by your side. We know that you'll be watching over all of us while singing along with the angels. We love you!

God's Garden
By Melissa Shreve

God looked around his garden
And found an empty place,
God's garden must be beautiful
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest.
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain.
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills were hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids
And whispered, 'Peace be thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you
