Amy Lorraine Jones, daughter of David Michael Jones and Barbara Jean Bradford Jones, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at Trident Medical Hospital in Charleston, South Carolina, in the presence of family who loved her dearly.

Amy is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved aunt and uncle Gloria Bradford Lambert and Leonidas "Aaron" Lambert, and her aunt and uncle Anneliese and William (Bill) Bradford. She is survived by her children, Emily (Brandon) Smith and Michael “Aaron” Randle; her grandson, Bradford “Ford”; her brother, Matthew Jones, and her sister Shelly (Bill) Jones Hallman.

Although born in Ashland, Kentucky, Amy grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky. She graduated from Franklin County High School in 1983 and she earned an accounting degree at the University of Kentucky in 1987. Amy was gifted with a mind for numbers and mathematics; however, she also loved the daily spontaneity of working in a restaurant and working with people from all walks of life. Amy’s last position was accountant and bookkeeper for several locations of the BoatHouse Restaurant in and around Charleston, SC.

Amy was strong and brave. She faced head-on many physical diagnoses and the resulting challenges without giving up-ever. Amy was a fighter and conqueror to the end of her life.

She was always for the underdog. She wanted to see other people succeed, particularly those that most people tend to overlook. Amy often helped out those in need, from supporting them financially to giving them a second chance. Her mother used to describe Amy as someone who would “give the shirt off her back if you needed it.”

Of all the things Amy accomplished in her life, she was most proud of her children Emily and Aaron. She loved being a mother to them, and up to her last days she often marveled at what wonderful people they are becoming. In her later years, she adored the role as Granny to her first grandchild, Ford.

Most importantly, Amy knows who she is - she is a daughter of the King and saved only by the blood and atonement given by Jesus Christ. Throughout her medical trials, she spoke boldly about her faith to doctors, nurses, and other patients. She often proclaimed, “God has been good to me.”

Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Friday, May 15, 2026 at the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., Mount Pleasant Chapel, 1494 Mathis Ferry Rd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:00 am. Interment will follow the service at Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens, where pallbearers will be Aaron Randle, Mike Randle, Brandon Smith, and Bill Hallman.

In Amy’s memory, donations can be made in the area of Brain and Spinal Health at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Foundation, found on-line at https://fundraise.musc.edu/giving, or to The Church at LifePark, 1151 George Browder Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29466.
