Amelia Iemma Oddo

Amelia R. Oddo, 91, of Charleston, SC, formerly of Hilton Head, SC, and Huntington, Long Island, NY, wife of the late Vito S. Oddo, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2013. The relatives and friends of Amelia Oddo are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Friday, July 12, 2013 in the Christ Our King Catholic Church, 1149 Russell Drive at 11:00 am. Prayers of Final Commendation and Farewell will take place in Six Oaks Cemetery, 175 Greenwood Drive, Hilton Head, SC on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 12:30 pm. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 11, 2013 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Vigil Prayers will be recited at 6:00 pm.

Amelia was born on April 17, 1922 in Bronx, New York, daughter of the late Vincent Iemma and Margaret Foti Iemma. She worked as a Corporate Librarian for Newmont Mining Corporation in Manhattan and was devoted to her daughter.

She is survived by her daughter, Jane Oddo of Charleston, SC and her caregiver, Helen Moorefield of Mt. Pleasant, SC.
