Amanda Jo Kalman, 25, entered into the hands of her Lord the evening of Thursday, September 8, 2011, at her residence. The relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral services in Charleston Baptist Church Tuesday, September 13, 2011, at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL Monday from 6 till 8 PM.
Amanda was born July 11, 1986 in Charleston, SC, daughter of Lucy Kalman Forest and the late Irwin S. "Kal" Kalman. She was a 2004 graduate of West Ashley High School. She was an active member of Coastal Community Church. Amanda was a devoted and loving mother.
Amanda is survived by her mother, two daughters, Audri Rose Black and Khloe Marie Black of Charleston; two sisters, Beverlie Holcomb (Alvin), of St. George, SC and Lori Patton (Brant) of Dallas, TX; nieces and nephews, FC4 Chase Miller, USN, of Virginia Beach, VA, Mandie Miller, Austin Holcomb, Madeline Holcomb, Braxton Patton and Baylee Holcomb; grandmother, Rose Kalman of Charleston, several aunts, uncles, cousins and two best friends, Jamie Parfrey and Ashley Perry. Amanda is preceded in death by her father Irwin S. "Kal" Kalman.
A memorial fund to be established for her children will be announced.
