Amanda Adams Addington

Amanda Adams Addington, 79, of Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Larry Holbrook Addington, entered into eternal rest on the morning of January 10, 2012. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Larry H. Addington are invited to attend her memorial service Saturday, February 11, 2012 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL at 2:00 pm. The family will receive friends on Saturday at Stuhr's West Ashley Chapel from 1:30 p.m. until time of service.

Born on February 11, 1932 in Charlotte, North Carolina, Amanda was the daughter of the late William Roger Adams and Lois Sidney Jones Adams. She was a graduate of Queens College, received her Master's degree at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill and was a Counselor with Duke University. Mrs. Addington was a volunteer for Hotline, member of the League of Women Voters and the Citadel Wives Association.

In addition to her husband Larry Holbrook Addington of Charleston, she is survived by her daughter, Catherine Addington Dantzler and husband Harold of Hanahan; three grandchildren, Jack, Daniel, and Caroline; and an uncle, Ed Ford Byars of Seneca, SC.
