Alvin I. Tyner, 81, of North Charleston, South Carolina, husband of Valerie Seagraves Tyner entered into eternal rest Saturday, December 22, 2018. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 29, 2018 in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. His Funeral Service will follow at the graveside in Riverview Memorial Park, 3715 Azalea Drive at 12:00 p.m. Alvin was born August 25, 1937 in Madison County, Georgia, son of the late Rubin M. Tyner and Pauline Bruce Tyner. He was a retired manager with State Farm and was a member of the Chamblee Masonic LodgeHe is survived by his wife of 56 years, Valerie Tyner of North Charleston, SC; two sons, son, Terry Edward Tyner and Todd Michael Tyner both of Charleston, SC; sister, Katie Ann Gunnells and a brother, Rubin M. Tyner, Jr. both of Madison County, GA; four grandchildren, William M. Tyner, Elizabeth Grace Tyner, Carmen Alexandra Tyner, Todd Michael Tyner, II.Memorials may be made to the American Heart Assoc. of SC Memorial Processing Center, 4217 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA, 23060.
