Alvin Odom Baxley, 73, of Hanahan, South Carolina, husband of Lisa Jones Baxley entered into eternal rest Monday, November 27, 2017. His Funeral Service will be held Thursday, November 30, 2017 in Grace On the Ashley Baptist Church, 2014 Bees Ferry Road at 12:00 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday in J. HENRY STUHR INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Alvin was born August 1, 1944 in Jedburg, South Carolina, son of Alfred Baxley, Sr., and Beatrice Collins Baxley. He was an Electric Motor Rewind Specialist and Machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Baxley of Hanahan, SC; two sons, Clint Alvin Baxley, Mark Heyward Baxley both of Charleston, SC; sister, Patricia Leverette (Tommy) of Summerville, SC; four brothers, William Baxley of Seattle, WA, Leonard Baxley (Linda) of Johns Island, SC, Alfred Baxley, Jr., (Geloris) of Gaston, SC, Dwight Baxley (Betty) of Summerville, SC, and granddaughter, Addison Elizabeth Vaughan of Hanahan, SC.
