Allison Judith Edwards LaMantia

Allison Judith Edwards LaMantia, 42, of Charleston, South Carolina, partner and attorney with Lowcountry Family Law and Mediation, died Sunday, February 7, 2016. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, February 13, 2016 in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 4:00 pm. The family will receive relatives and friends Saturday from 2:00 pm until time of the service. Interment will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. A reception in celebration of Allison's life will follow at the Daniel Island Club.

Allison was born February 25, 1973 in Long Branch, New Jersey, daughter of Lawrence F. Edwards and Theresa Stevens Edwards Conhagen. She graduated from Rumson Fair Haven High School, Rutgers University and Rutgers Law School. Allison moved to South Carolina 10 years ago, loved the Lowcountry, and was dedicated to the practice of Family Law.

She is survived by her four children, who were her world, Ryan, Mason, Nathan and Avery LaMantia all of Charleston, SC; her mother and step-father, Theresa and Alfred Conhagen, Jr. of Mt. Pleasant, SC; her father, Lawrence Edwards of Brick Town, NJ; brother, Adam L. Edwards and his wife, Charlotte, of Charleston, SC and nephew, Legare Edwards of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by the father of her children, Anthony LaMantia of Charleston. Allison leaves behind many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved her dearly.

An educational fund has been established for the benefit of the four LaMantia children. Checks may be made payable to "The LaMantia Children" and remitted to South State Bank, 855 Savannah Highway (@ Coburg Road), Charleston, SC 29407.
